As the Federal Government ease the total lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun States, banks have insisted that customers use face masks and maintain social distancing at their various branches.

In a mail sent to their customers, First Bank who noted queue spacing has been clearly marked out, added that observing socal distancing is mandatory at all its premises.

"We resumed across most of our branches today and thank all who were orderly and maintained the social distancing protocols. Although we observed some customers were not as orderly in some of our branches, we hope we can all do our bit to help us to serve you better.

"Social distancing is mandatory at all our premises. Queue spacing is clearly marked to further guide personal spacing. If you absolutely must come to the branch we implore and encourage you to follow the safety instructions and guidelines.

"Please wear your face mask before joining the queue. Safety is our collective responsibility. We must all be our brother's keeper at this time and we call on you to call and report any infractions you see to report@firstbanknigeria.com so that we can immediately deal with it."

First Bank also urged customers to avoid the stress of visiting their branches and use any of its alternative channels

"Did you know that you can save yourself the trip and use any of our alternative channels without visiting the branch? Transact with us using; *894#, FirstMobile, Firstmonie Wallet or *894*1#, Firstmonie Agents and FirstOnline. We are online for you 24/7."

In the same vein, UBA also urged it's customers to use face masks when visiting a branch and to come with their pen if they would need to fill a form.

"Dear Customer, at UBA, we take the safety of our staff and customers very seriously and are intensifying efforts to keep you safe as you visit our branches. Below are some measures we have put together to make sure you are safe when you visit: Our ATMs will be cleaned and sanitised regularly, hand sanitizers will be provided at the entrance of all our branches, all staff in our banking halls will wear face masks.

"Please make sure you are wearing a face mask when visiting a branch, we will only serve 10 customers in the banking hall at a time. Once our banking hall has up to 10 people in it, we may ask you to wait outside. Please cooperate with our security personnel as their actions are all in a bid to keep you safe. Stickers are placed at our branch entrance to guide the 6 feet social distancing requirement.

"To discourage sharing and to keep you safe, if you need to fill out any forms or deposit slips, please come along with a pen. We would like to let you know once again that #WeAreInThisTogether and will continue to keep you updated on any new developments."
