Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Victor Ikpe, also known as Keivo, has been disqualified from the reality TV show following his physical altercation with fellow housemate, Tram.
Biggie announced Keivo’s disqualification on Tuesday during his address to the housemates.
The announcement came a day after Keivo and Tram were involved in an altercation over a black shirt, which escalated into a physical confrontation.
NPO Reported that the disagreement started after Tram accused Keivo of wearing his shirt.
Keivo denied the accusation, insisting that he had a similar shirt and took offence at being accused of taking something that did not belong to him.
The argument became heated before Keivo physically assaulted Tram.
Oyin and other housemates attempted to intervene as the situation escalated.
Biggie subsequently instructed the housemates to freeze and sent three Ninjas into the house to separate the pair.
Keivo was later taken out of the main house through the storeroom.
During his address on Tuesday, Biggie revisited the incident and identified Keivo as the perpetrator.
“Keivo, as the perpetrator, has been removed from the house. He is therefore disqualified from the house,” Biggie announced.
He also reminded the housemates of the rules regarding violence, stressing that “violence is never an option.”
Biggie described the footage of the altercation as disturbing before announcing Keivo’s fate.
The disqualification brings Keivo’s time in the competition to a halt, just days before the Season 11 finale scheduled for October 4.
Before his disqualification was announced, Keivo became emotional while reflecting on the incident.
He explained that the disagreement was not simply about the shirt, but about being accused of stealing.
Keivo expressed concern that the incident could leave viewers with the impression that he was a thief, saying the accusation was particularly upsetting to him.
His disqualification followed his removal from the official voting platform earlier on Tuesday. His profile was also removed from the list of finalists before Biggie formally addressed the housemates.
With Keivo’s disqualification, the total number of exits has risen to 14, leaving 11 housemates competing for the N160 million cash prize.
