Big Brother Naija Season 11 finalist, Tram, was on Wednesday named the Main Character of the Season during the Show Ya Sef Awards, as the remaining housemates celebrated their memorable moments ahead of Sunday’s finale.
The awards ceremony, held on Day 66 of the reality show, gave the nine finalists an opportunity to recognise one another for their personalities, contributions and standout moments throughout the season.
Tram, who has remained one of the most talked-about housemates in the final stretch, received the Main Character Award, one of the final honours presented during the ceremony.
Reacting to the recognition, Tram said he did not understand why the housemates chose him for the category but admitted that he liked the award.
The housemate also picked up another award during the ceremony, winning the ‘1 More Thing’ Award.
However, unlike the Main Character award, Tram was less enthusiastic about the second recognition.
“I don’t want this,” he said when he was announced as the winner.
When asked why, Tram said he did not understand why the housemates had voted for him in the category.
The awards also saw other finalists receive humorous honours based on their personalities and memorable moments in the house.
Barry was named the Heart of the House, while Aikou received the awards for Housemate Everyone Can Count On, Peacemaker and Best Storyteller.
Bluethopia was recognised for Biggest Growth, Walking Sound Effect and Overthinker, while Flora won Best Cook and Most Likely to Make You Laugh.
Temi Nkem received the What Just Happened, Unpredictable and Big Brother Please awards.
Oyin was named Human GPS, Negotiator and Drama Department, while Sheba won the House Lawyer award.
Ricky received the I Told You So award, while Barry also won Professional Napper and You Had To Be There.
The ceremony featured performances from former BBNaija winner KellyRae and The Rae Nations Band, as well as singer Zadok.
Host Jay On-Air told the finalists that the awards were based on votes cast by the housemates themselves, giving them an opportunity to look back at the personalities and moments that shaped their nine-week journey.
The recognition comes just days after Tram won the Most Influential Player of the Week (MIPOW) title and survived a fake eviction alongside Ricky and Temi Nkem.
Tram is now among the nine finalists competing for the ₦160 million grand prize following Keivo’s disqualification from the show on Tuesday.
The remaining finalists are Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.
The BBNaija Season 11 grand finale is scheduled for Sunday, October 4.
