The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Senator Abdulahi Adamu, has warned stakeholders of the party to be wary of the fate that befell the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in 2015.
Adamu, while addressing attendees at the emergency National Executive Council meeting of the party holding at the Transcorp Hilton Hotels, Abuja on Wednesday, said internal wrangling within the party has reached a point party leaders must be warned to avert electoral jeopardy.
Attending the meeting are President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, members of the National Working Committee of the party, and others.
This was just as the National Executive Committee of the party resolved to vest the powers on the National Working Committee (NWC) for the next three months.
The motion for this decision was moved by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan and seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
This will be the situation for the next 90 days vesting the power to choose the mode of primaries for the elections in the NWC.
Also in attendance are Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan; his deputy Senator Ovie Omo- Agege; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; his deputy, Hon. Idris Ahmed Wase, and members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
