Presidential aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress will now face indirect primaries as the party’s National Working Committee opted for the mode on Wednesday.
This decision was reached at APC’s 11th National Executive Committee meeting holding at the Transcorp Hotel in Abuja.
Already, those who have signified intentions to run for the presidency so far include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi former Senate President Ken Nnamani, Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.
Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Godwin Emefiele, is also said to be eyeing the presidential seat.
