The Action People’s Party has withdrawn its petition against the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, in the ongoing proceedings challenging his victory at the polls.
Counsel for the party, Obed Agu, made this known during Wednesday’s proceedings.
Abubakar Mahmoud, counsel to INEC; Wole Olanipekun, counsel to Tinubu; and Lateef Fagbemi, counsel to APC, did not oppose the application nor did they ask for cost.
In the brief ruling, Justice Tsammani, who is the presiding judge of the Presidential Election Petition Court, dismissed the petition.
Recall that, the Action Alliance (AA) had on Monday withdrawn its petition against Tinubu and the APC.
With the dismissal of two petitions, the court is left to determine three other petitions by Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the PDP; Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
