One of the defendants in the ongoing trial of suspects over the death of a student of the Obafemi Awolowo University Timothy Adegoke, has slumped in the court Monday morning.
Justice Adepele Ojo, the trial judge, immediately stood down the proceedings as court officials and correctional officers rushed to attend to the lady.
She is the second defendant in the case of the alleged killing of Adegoke at the Hilton Hotel, Ile Ife owned by the first defendant, Mr. Ramon Adedoyin.
The lady, Magdalane Chiefuna is believed to be the receptionist who lodged in Adegoke into the hotel before his alleged killing.
She was said to be the owner of the account to which Adegoke was asked to pay the fee for his lodging on the fateful night.
Apart from Chiefuna and Ramon Adedoyin, five other suspects are undergoing trial.
She was reportedly rushed out of the court after she repeatedly coughed and was seen to be going down.
