Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has paid a visit to Kano state governor, Abba Yusuf, over last week’s mob killing of 16 northern travellers at Uromi community.
Having earlier condemned the tragic incident which occurred last week Thursday, the Edo governor arrived at Kano on Monday to condole the victims’ families.
He was received by Abba Yusuf as both governors were spotted together at the government house in Kano.
It was gathered that Okpebholo confirmed that 14 suspects have been arrested in connection to the killing.
NPO Reported that the travellers who were claimed to be Hausa hunters had met their untimely death while travelling to Kano for Eid-Filtri celebration.
They were stopped at Uromi by security operatives and vigilante group who discovered Dane guns in their vehicle.
Mistooking them for kidnappers the security operatives raised alarm.
This led to the mob action which saw the travellers lynched and burnt to death.
