Popular Ibadan tyre dealer, Lamidi Ajadi, is dead.
This was disclosed in a post shared on X on Tuesday by Oyo state lawmaker, Akin Alabi.
The renowned leader of Ibadan Muslim community reportedly passed away earlier today at the age of 89
While the cause of his death remains sketchy, Alabi expressed sadness over the passing out of the popular Oyo businessman.
“I am very sad to hear of the passing of Alhaji Lamidi Ajadi, proud son of Ibadan, a successful entrepreneur, a generous philanthropist, and a man whose impact was felt across many lives.
“May Allah grant him Aljanah Firdaus and give his family the strength to bear this loss.” The lawmaker wrote.

Born on the 5th of April 5,1936, Lamidi founded his company, Lamidi Ajadi & Sons Nigeria Limited (LASL, Tyre House) in 1952.
The company remained a force to reckon with in the marketing of automotive components with specialisation in all sizes of tyres (OTR), Earthmovers for caterpillars, dumpers, tractors & machinery, trucks, vans and cars; as well as batteries, tube and so on.
Amongst admirers, Lamidi was popularly called Alapa Fuja, Alapa Faaari.
