Breaking! FIFA Rejects Moves to Start Super League in Europe

Global soccer body Federation of International Football Association Tuesday noon kicked against the move to break the European league by setting up on the European Super League.

The plans of the Big Six of the Premier League - Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham - as well as three Spanish and three Italian teams, have been gravely condemned after the unveiling of proposals for the breakaway tournament.
In a congress briefing today, the plan has been condemned by both the FA and the Premier League while UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has warned players who take part could be banned from representing their countries in the World Cup and European Championships.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino while speaking at UEFA Congress on Tuesday said “At FIFA we can only and strongly disapprove the creation of the super league, which is a closed shop, which is a breakaway from the current institutions, from the leagues, from the associations, from UEFA and from FIFA.”
Recall that FIFA had in January 2021, kicked against the same idea led by Barcelona.
“Any club or player involved in such a competition would as a consequence not be allowed to participate in any competition organised by FIFA or their respective confederation,” FIFA had responded in a statement.
