The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has released the final list of candidates of various parties contesting for the governorship seat of Ekiti State in June this year.
In a memo released on Monday by National Commissioner and. Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee of INEC, Mr. Festus Okoye, the commission said the list is necessary in compliance with the Electoral Act, 2022.
Okoye stated that any party that observes the name of it’s candidate is missing from the list should notify the Commission in writing.
It said such letter must be signed by it’s National Chairman and Secretary with an affidavit not less than 90 days to the election.
The list has Abiodun Abayomi Oyebamiji and Afuye Monisade as Governor and Deputy under APC while Olabisi Kolawole and Kolapo Olugbenga Kolade will fly PDP flag in the election.
The list has sixteen political parties contesting in the election and Fourteen Males and two females as candidates.
Others are Reuben Boye Famuyibo and Olamide Ezekiel Falana will contest under Accord Party, Ajagunigbala Moses Olajide and Oludele Oluwabumi for AAC,Oluwole Olumayokun Oluyede and Popoola Hidiat Simbo as ADC candidates,Elebute-Halle Josephine Kemi and Afuye Idowu Sunday will fly the flag of ADP.
Benjamin Olufemi Obidoyin and Oluwafemi Anthony Faeji for APGA, Fagbemi Peter Adegbenro and Akinyeye Oluwatosin Eunice will contest under APM, Christianna Modupe Olatawura and Ibukun Solomon Owolabi under APP, Daramola Roland Olugbenga and Onile Ibrahim Yusuf for LP, Fatomilola Oladosu Abiodun and Ade-Ajayi Oluwatoyin Hannah contesting under NNPP, Iyaniwura Tope Ifedayo and Arowolo Kayode Williams for NRM, Agboola Olaniyi Ben and Ogidan Tolulope Oluwatoyin contesting under PRP, Olusegun Adebayo Oni and James Oladipo Owolabi for SDP,Adebowale Oluranti Ajayi and Olaseni Nureni Babatunde under YPP and Adeolu Kolade Akinyemi and Damilola Akintoye contesting under ZLP.
