Nigerians have on Wednesday experienced another power outage as the national grid collapsed again.
This was disclosed in a post shared on X.
Confirming the development in a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), disclosed that the grid collapsed at exactly 11:23am.
While the cause of the collapse could not be ascertained, the disco assured its customers quick restoration of power as effort is ongoing to resolve the issue.
“Please the power outage currently being experienced is due to a loss of supply from the national grid at 11:23hrs today, affecting electricity supply across our franchise areas.
“Rest assured we are working closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure power is restored once the grid is stabilised.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding” the statement read.
On its part, the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED), also confirmed the grid collapse in a post on its X handle, stressing that it had resulted to power outage across its franchise states.
“There is no supply in our four franchise States namely: Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross River”. the post read.
In Lagos, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) appealed to its customers while noting that the exact cause of the power outage is unknown.
