One of the earliest businessmen in Nigeria and in Osun in particular, Alhaji Ahmed Omidiran, has died at the age of 95.
His son, Babatunde Omidiran, who disclosed this on Sunday said his father died in the early hours of Sunday.
Omidiran was the founder of the popular Presidential Hotel, Osogbo, among other businesses he founded.
At its time, the hotel was the most exotic with a wide range of clientele.
The late Omidiran was also the husband of the former member of the House of Representatives, Alhaja Ayo Omidiran.
During his lifetime, he was a rallying point for community development activities.
