The Ondo state Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, has dissolved the state Executive Council.
In an announcement on Wednesday, Ayedatiwa sacked all commissioners, special advisers and senior special assistants.
The statement titled:
“DISSOLUTION OF THE ONDO STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL” which was signed by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor stated that the dissolution is “with immediate effect.”
The statement said, “All members of the Cabinet are to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.
“Also, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are relieved of their duties, with immediate effect.
“All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession.”
It quoted the Governor as expressing appreciations to the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State.
Ayedatiwa took over on December 27 last year after the death of the late Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu. Akeredolu had died in a German hospital after months of protracted illness.
