Tragedy has hit the Nigerian Police Force as an Assistant Inspector General of Police, Don Awunah has died in Abuja in the early hours of today (Monday).
He was the AIG in charge of Zone 16 with the headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
He was also a former Force Public Relations Officer.
Awunah was said to have been on his sick bed for some time before he finally passed away on Monday.
He was also a former Commissioner of Police in Bayelsa State.
