Officers of the Nigerian Police Force have shot teargas to disperse youths commemorating the memorial of the #EndSARS protest at Lekki tollgate.
The memorial rally was organised to mark the second anniversary of the #EndSARS movement.
In a video cited by NPO Correspondent showed the popular skit maker, Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni and singer, Folarin Falana aka Falz led the protesters to Lekki Toll-Gate to mark two years of #EndSARS
Others present at the Thursday procession to mark the second anniversary of the Lekki shooting include Omoyele Sowore, Feyikemi Abudu and other youths.
People were seeing scampering for their lives as police shot teargas to disperse them.
Arise TV Correspondent,Oba Adeoye, was also allegedly harassed alongside his crew that were on ground to cover the scene.
Reacting via his twitter handle, the Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said there was no gunshots and that peaceful protesters were allowed to move around.
“Peaceful persons were allowed to move around without interference from the police. Some of them that decided to be lawless and start mounting the toll complex, an action threatening the existing law and order in the area, were dispersed with teargas.
“There was no use of baton, neither was there physical contact. We equally do not have any record of shooting. We would, however, appreciate evidence of gunshots, maybe a video, to enable us take appropriate action,” he tweeted
