President Muhammadu Buhari has visited the newly released victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attacks who regained their freedom 48 hours ago.
The president used the opportunity of his presence at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, where he supervised the passing out parade of the academy on Thursday.
The 23 victims, according to the special task force set up by the president, announced on Wednesday, were released by terrorists who had held them since March 28 when they were attacked and kidnapped.
President Buhari was accompanied by Governors, Ministers and Service Chiefs, to the NDA hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
They were the last batch of the hostages who regained their freedom after the attacks.
At least, eight of the passengers were killed during the attacks while the kidnapped others regained freedom in batches.
Ransoms were paid in many of the cases by family members of the hostages.
