One of the contestants for the ticket of the All Progressive Congress governorship ticket in Lagos State, Mr. Ahmed Mustapha has claimed that he was sent away from the Onikan Stadium venue of the primary to elect the party’s candidate.
Mustapha complained that he was in Abuja two weeks ago for the screening but the outcome of the screening was never communicated till now.
“We went to Abuja for clearance two weeks ago. The results of the clearance were not communicated to us.
“We went to the APC state secretariat at Acme Road yesterday (Wednesday), we tried to get our accreditation tags but we were not given. We were there till 7am this morning before going to the venue of the primary.”
The primary committee chaired by the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Shetima Yuguda, reportedly asked Mustapha to leave because he was never cleared for the primary election.
