A six-term member of the House of Representatives, Oluwole Oke, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This was disclosed in a post shared on X on Wednesday.
The lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State became the latest member to defect from the PDP amidst the ongoing in the opposition party.
As reportedly sighted in his resignation letter dated April 16, 2025 and addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 7, Obokun LGA, Oke said he decided to leave the PDP after consulting with his political associates, friends, and family members.
“I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) with immediate effect.
“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family, and friends.
“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith.” The letter partly read.
While urging his supporters to also leave the party, lawmaker’s next move was, however, not disclosed.
