Dare-devil insurgents late Sunday night invaded the campus of the Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria and made attempts to take away some staff and students.
NPO Reports reliably gathered that the kidnappers, numbering about 50, came in some vans and breached the security of the campus sending many to run for their lives.
However, it was gathered that the authority of the institution had called for help from nearly military settlement.
The arrival of soldiers, according to findings by the NPO Reports, had saved the situation as the soldiers immediately dislodged the terrorists.
A staff of the polytechnic, who identified himself as Ilyasu Mohammed while speaking with the NPO Reports early morning on Monday confirmed the attacks on the campus.
Ilyasu however allayed fears saying that the attackers had gone away after the arrival of soldiers.
“There was a problem but everything has been settled. The soldiers are everywhere now on campus. They kidnappers have gone. Everything has been settled,” he told the NPO Reports.
