President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate suspension of the Go Cashless policy implementation across all Federal airports in the country.
This is coming days after the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria’s (FAAN) commencement of the policy implementation.
NPO Reported that FAAN had at the weekend announced the commencement of the cashless policy across all airports.
This however suffered major setback as it led to traffic congestions in major airports like the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

In a bid to salvage the situation, FAAN increased it registration points for the Go Cashless initiative with additional personnel deployed to the airports.

This however failed to suffice, as Tinubu declared the suspension of the initiative on Wednesday.
While confirming the development, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, said that the President was concerned that most Nigerians are missing their flights on account of the policy implementation.
