President Bola Tinubu has reversed his recent appointments in the leadership of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as he recalled Salihu Dembos as the broadcast station’s Director General.
This was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, the President had previously made fresh appointments which saw a changing in the director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises roles.
However, Tinubu directed the recall of Dembos as the NTA DG.
Dembos was initially appointed DG of the TV network by the president in October 2023.
His return will see him complete his three-year tenure.
In the same vein, Tinubu directed the recall of Mr Ayo Adewuyi, the Executive Director of News, to complete his three-year tenure, which ends in 2027.
Adewuyi was appointed by President Tinubu in 2024.
“The new directive effectively reversed the previously announced appointments of a director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises,” Onanuga said in his statement late Tuesday
