In the wake of the ongoing Ministry reshuffling, President Bola Tinubu has announced the sacking of five Ministers.
This was contained in a report of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) held on Wednesday in Abuja.
As listed in the report, the Minister’s set to be discharged include Uju-Ken Ohanneye (Women Affairs), Lola-Ade John (Tourism), Tahir Mamman (Education), Abdullahi Gwarzo (State Housing and Urban Development), Jamila Ibrahim (Youths Development).
While some of the Ministers were discharged due to the mergence of their ministries, other were outrightly replaced as their ministries remain unchanged.
The now relieved Minister of Women Affairs, Uju-Ken Ohananye was replaced by Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim.
In the same vein, Tahir Mamman was replaced by Morufu Alausa as the new Minister of Education while Ayodele Olawande takes charge of the Ministry of Youths Development from Jamila Ibrahim.
On the other hand, Lola-Ade John saw her ministry merged with the the Federal Ministry of Arts and Culture to become Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy.
In the same development, the President made seven fresh ministerial appointments among which include Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu who was appointed new Minister of State Foreign Affairs.
Meanwhile, Sports Minister, John Owan Enoh, was reassigned to the Ministry of State Trade and Investment (Industry) following the scrapping of the Ministry of Sports.
Replacing the defunct Ministry is the National Sports Commission with Sheu Dikko appointed as its Chairman.
Alongside Owan Enoh, nine other Ministers were also reassigned to new portfolios.
