President Bola Tinubu has been slated to speak to Nigerians today at 7pm.
A statement by Dele Alake, his Special Adviser on Strategy, Communication and Special Duties disclosed this Monday morning.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a broadcast to the nation on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 7 pm.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” the terse statement read.
The broadcast is coming amidst multiple crisis brought up by the removal of fuel subsidies.
The policy has ignited a wave of economic woes with many Nigerians pushed further into poverty.
Tinubu’s government has assured that the pains are temporary.
The price of petrol has gone up twice since his administration took over from former President Muhammadu Buhari. A section of the populace now compare his administration and giving kudos to the former regime.
