The British Deputy High Commissioner , Benedict Llewellyn-Jones, paid a courtesy visit to the kalakuta museum.
The diplomat expressed his excitement via his twitter handle, @benllewellynjo1 on Thursday about visiting the museum and conversing with singer and songwriter, Kunle Kuti.
He stated that it was interesting to celebrate the music and life popluar Nigerian Musician and political activist, Fela Kuti brought to the world.
“Very cool to visit Kalakuta museum today, chat with Kunle Kuti at kalakutamuseums.com and celebrate the life, music and everything @felakuti brought to #Lagos #Nigeria and the world. #Music #Felakuti @UKinNigeria” he wrote.
The Kalakuta museum in Ikeja, Lagos is the former home and revolutionary headquarters of famous musician Fela Anikulapo Kuti. The building was Kuti’s home from the 1970s until his death in 1997 and is now open as a museum for travelers to explore.
The museum is now managed by Fela’s son, Kunle Kuti
