The operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested two brothers and 23 others over allegations of being internet fraudsters
The suspects arrested are Oyewole Damilola,Ovin Adekunle,Ovin Nicholas Aregbesola Tobiloba, Oladosu Saheed, Oseni Omotara, Abel Durotimi, Oyeneye Rilwan Adetola, Ridwan Iyiola, Sylvester Evans.
Adekanye Ayodeji Ezekiel, Osagie Harry Odosa, Arowolo Oluwafemi Isaac, Omoregbe Destiny Nosa, Evbonaye Olaleye, Adeyemo Abiola, Temitope Ajetonmobi, Dare-Ilori Oreoluwa David.
Others are Oshokoya Olaoluwa Muritalah, Omotoye Collins Oluwaseun, Hassan Abdulwahab Oladimeji, Agbaje Jackson Babatunde, Owolabi Temiloluwa Dominion, Fadipe Biodun Idris and Agbayo Moshood Oriyomi.
According to statement released by the agency’s spokeman,Wilson Uwujaren on Monday,noted that Damilola, Adekunle, Nicholas and Iyiola were arrested at Palmcity Estate in the Lekki area; others were picked from City-View Estate off Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The EFCC said they were arrested following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in computer-related fraud.
Exotic vehicles, laptops and mobile phones were recovered from them at the point of arrest.
Uwujaren further disclosed that the suspects have provided their statements and will soon be charged to court.
