Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has on Tuesday made striking appearance in Daura, Katsina State, as he arrived at the hometown of late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Dan Amana Daura regalia.
Amaechi, who served as the Minister of Transportation under the Buhari administration, had joined other early dignitaries who arrived at the residence of the late President ahead of his burial.
As captured in a post shared on X, the ex-Minister appeared in full pure white robe with a massive white turban strapped across his head in lieu with his chieftancy title as the Dan Amana Daura which was bestowed upon him by the Daura Emirate in 2022.
According to report the Dan Amanar Daura means ‘Trusted Son of Daura’.
While Amaechi’s outfit had caused stir from netizens, public attention is still focused on the return of Buhari’s body which is yet to arrive.
The body was slated to arrive by 12pm following its depature from London around 7:40am earlier today.
However, dignitaries still await the arrival ahead of the funeral slated to hold by 2pm
Buhari passed away in a London hospital at the age of 82, is expected to be buried later today in accordance with Islamic rites.
