The ongoing by-elections has taken a violent twist in Kano state as suspected political thugs invade some polling units across the state.
NPO Reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled today as bye-election for vacant seats in National Assembly.
While the election had been peaceful in most states, a Kano state voter, Abdullahi Lawan, reported clash at his ward, leading to the suspension of the election.
Abdullahi, in reaction to an X post by INEC, called for the intervention of the commission as he expressed concern that their votes at Faruruwa ward in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano state may not count due to the clash
