Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has retained her dominance of the Africa’s women football as she emerged Africa’s best female goalkeeper for the third time in a row.
Nnadozie was declared winner of the 2025 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Goalkeeper of the Year at the awards night held on Wednesday in Rabat, Morocco.
She defeated Morocco’s Khadija Er-Amichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to win the prestigious award.
“Back-to-back-to-back! Chiamaka Nnadozie made it once, twice, then a habit!”CAF declared on its official X account shortly after the announcement which saw the 24-year-old goalkeeper set record as the first woman to win the category thrice in the history of the award.
While Nnadozie had guided the Super Falcons to a successful 10th Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, the Super Falcon’s historic also saw them emerge as the best female national team of the year.
The Super Falcons warded off competition from Morocco and Ghana to clinch the award for the third consecutive time.
Recall that the Nigeria’s women national team had pulled a dramatic 3-2 comeback win against Morrocco to clinch their 10th WAFCON award.
