There was mayhem Wednesday afternoon in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory as a major building material market was set ablaze by commercial motorcyclists popularly called Okada.
NPO Reports gathered that trouble started when an Okada rider ran under a truck with his passenger, an Igbo woman in an accident.
However the Okada man said to be an Hausa man removed his Okada from under the truck leaving the helpless woman passenger under the truck until the truck crushed her head.
This was said to have angered some of the building material dealers most of them of Igbo extraction.
They pursued the Okada man but some of his colleagues came back and attacked the market.
As at the time of filing this reports, owners of shops were seen wailing over goods worth billions of Naira said to have been burnt.
Security men later arrived to disperse the rampaging Okada riders .
