The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared another foreign national, Elie Bitar, wanted in connection to the ongoing probe of Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX) online trading fraud.
This is coming barely a week after the commission declared eight officials of the crypto trading platform wanted.
The wanted persons included four foreign nationals and four Nigerians.
As profiled in the latest wanted notice issued on Wednesday by the EFCC’ spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, Bitar’s last known address is Eng. George Enemoh Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos state.
The commission urged anyone with useful information on the 41-year-old man’s whereabout to contact any of its office or report to the nearest police station as well as other security agencies.
The post read; “The public is hereby notified that ELIE BITAR, who’s photograph appears above is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for fraud allegedly perpetrated on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
“Bitar is 41 years old and his last known address is at Eng. George Enemoh Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lekki, Lagos state.
“Anybody with useful information as to his whereabouts should please contact the Commission in its Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja offices or through 08093322644; it’s e-mail address: info@efcc.gov.ng or the nearest Police Station and other security agencies.”
