CBN Governor, Emefiele Joins Presidential Race; Buys N100m Form

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Godwin Emefiele has formally ended all speculations over his 2023 presidential ambition.
A group of professionals on Friday purchased his form to contest the ticket of the All Progressive Congress.
Also, some Niger Delta agitators said Emefiele is the best man for the job just as they canvassed for support for him.
The nomination and expression of interest forms were said to have been paid for on Friday.
However, no confirmation of the development has been heard from the CBN Governor.
Speculations had been rife over his ambition for months.
He was believed to have set up an office to activate his campaign while some campaign vehicles were said to have been branded ahead of his contest.
