Confusion at Ibadan Polytechnic As Non-Academic Staff Embark on Strike On Exams Day

Thousands of students of The Polytechnic Ibadan, were on Monday stranded as lecturers and other non-academic staff began a strike to press home their demands.

As at the time of filing this report, it was not clear whether the matter would be resolved for the examinations to go ahead.

NPO Reports leant that the strike was as a result of grievances by the Non-Academic staff union of Polytechnics and the Senior Staff of Polytechnics which had earlier warned of possible industrial action.

The unions had earlier accused the Federal Government of failure to implement the minimum wage as agreed to.
