Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has been left stranded in Guinea-Bissau following a coup plot and military takeover of the West African country.
Jonathan had reportedly travelled to Guinea-Bissau alongside other foreign observers to monitor the controversial presidential election held in the country.
NPO Reported that the election held last week had been marred with controversies especially with the disqualification of a main opposition candidate.
Ahead of the outcome of the election, which was expected to be announced today, the incumbent President both Umaro Sissoco Embaló and his closest rival Fernando Dias have both claimed victory.
