A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has again denied the bail application of former Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello.
Justice Maryanne Anenih, who presided over the hearing of the alleged N110 billion money laundering suit against the embattled ex-governor on Tuesday, dismissed the bail application.
According to report, the judge, in her ruling, held that application was premature as it was filed before Bello was present in court or in custody.
“Having not been filed when the first defendant was either in custody or before the court, this instant application is incompetent.
“Consequently, the application, having been filed prematurely, is hereby refused.” she said.
Recall that the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Yahaya Bello and two others over an amended N110 billion money laundering charge.
