The Federal High Court in Abuja has on Tuesday granted former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha bail.
This was just as the court adjourned the case over N2.9bn fraud allegation against him to November this year.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, while using the discretionary power of the court, granted the senator N500m bail with a surety who must have a landed property within the jurisdiction of the court.
The Judge said the surety must deposit the Certificate of Occupancy of a verified property with the registry of the court.
The judge, while admitting the senator to bail with a cautionary statement, ordered that his international passport be deposited in the registry of the court.
The judge also ordered the registry to convey the instruction of the court to the Nigerian Immigration Service to ensure that the international passport of Okorocha is deposited.
