An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos has on Tuesday remanded three suspects over alleged conspiracy and robbery charges
The suspects identified as Shola Adeoye (41), Olanrewaju Oladipupo (51), and Seun Idowu (42) were brought before the court on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy to commit felony and robbery in Lekki area of the state.
According to reports, the prosecution alleged that the defendants and others still at large conspired to commit robbery on October 11, 2025, at about 11:30 a.m. along the Lekki–Ajah Road, Lagos.
It further alleged that the defendants robbed one John Bakan of an S23 mobile phone valued at N150,000 and an Infinix smartphone valued at N180,000.
The prosecution told the court that the offences contravened Sections 297 and 299 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate L.A. Owolabi refused to take the defendants’ plea and ordered that they be remanded in a correctional facility pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Owolabi adjourned the case until February 4, 2026, for further hearing.
