Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 12 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 167,078.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Monday night.
The agency stated that the 12 new cases were reported from two states in the country.
It said Lagos recorded nine cases while Kwara registered three cases.
The NCDC noted that no death was recorded from the virus, which had already claimed 2,117 lives in the country.
The public health agency disclosed that 163,469 have been discharged after testing negative to the virus.
The NCDC, however, said 1,492 cases were still active in the country.
It stated that the country had tested 2,231,409 people since the beginning of the pandemic on Feb. 27, 2020.
