The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the country’s COVID-19 cases have reached 167,066, as it recorded 7 additional infections as of Sunday, June 13, 2021.
The NCDC announced the new statistics on its official website on Sunday.
In the breakdown, Lagos and Kwara recorded three while Rivers registered one.
According to the NCDC, since the disease was first reported on Feb. 27, 2020, a total of 2,117 people have succumbed to it while 163,463 patients have recovered from it.
The public health agency added that the country’s active cases stood at 1,506 in the past 24 hours.
The NCDC stated that since the outbreak of the pandemic, the organisation had carried out 2,180,444 tests.
It also noted that 5 states were with 0 cases reported: Plateau, Nasarawa, Kano, Imo and Sokoto.
It stated that 31 community recoveries from Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
