The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the country’s COVID-19 cases have reached 167,103, as it recorded three additional infections as of Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
The NCDC announced the new statistics on its official website on Wednesday.
In the breakdown, Rivers recorded four, FCT- registered three and Kwara announced one.
According to the NCDC, since the disease was first reported on Feb. 27, 2020, a total of 2,117 people have succumbed to it while 163,528 patients have recovered from it.
The public health agency added that the country’s active cases now over 1,000 in the past 24 hours.
The NCDC stated that since the outbreak of the pandemic, the organisation had carried out more two million tests.
It also noted that yesterday's report includes 0 cases from Imo, Kaduna, Kano, Nasarawa, and Sokoto States.
