The former All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy National Chairman (North), Bukar Dalori, has on Monday assumed office as the Acting National Chairman of the party.
This was disclosed in a post shared on the APC’s official X handle.
According to the post, is currently presiding over the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
“The new acting APC National Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, on Monday, assumed office and is presently presiding over a meeting of the National Working Committee at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.” The post read.
NPO Reported that Dalori was last week appointed as the interim national leader of the ruling party following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje over health concern.
Ganduje’s resignation came when he had led the National Working Committee to Niger State on a condolence visit to the Niger State Governor, HE. Mohammed Umaru Bago at the state’s liaison office in Abuja, over the devastating Mokwa flood and bandit attacks in Mariga LGA on the state.
In his stead, Dalori, who hails from Maiduguri, Borno State, was appointed as the new National Chairman in acting capacity.
He is expected to steer the party’s affairs pending the election of a substantive chairman at the upcoming national convention.
