NPO reported that the NNPC has last week announced the expiration of the initial Naira-for-crude deal agreement with Dangote after six months.
The company hinted possible renewal of the deal while disclosing that over 48 million barrels of crude oil available to Dangote refinery since October 2024, adding that in aggregate, over 84 million barrels of crude oil were supplied to the refinery since its commencement of operations in 2023.
However, sources, according to report, said Dangote refinery will continue to load for export as it currently sources all its crude stock from the international market in dollars.
