Nigerian afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, have alongside United States Singer, French Montana, thrilled fans with their ecstatic performance at the colourful opening ceremony of the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
NPO earlier Reported Davido’s arrival at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Morocco, ahead of his performance.
The singer was shortlisted alongside French Montana, Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, French-Moroccan hitmaker Lartiste and emerging talent Says’z for the opening ceremony which started with a concert on Saturday.
Davido’s performance was however slated for Sunday which saw the awarding-winning artistes perform shortly before the kick-off of the tournament’s first match between the host nation and Comoros.
He emerged on stage with the French Montana, thrilling the fans with one of the tournament’s theme songs.
