The Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has issued Master’s Degrees Scholarship to Kano indigenes.
Jibrin announced this in a post on his official X handle on Tuesday.
According to the post, the scholarship award tagged Domestic Postgraduate Scholarship Programme 2025, is targeted at 300 outstanding graduates across six selected recognized universities in Nigeria
The selected universities include Bayero University, Kano; Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; University of Ibadan, University of Nigeria Nsukka, Obafemi Awolowo University, and the University of Lagos
Meanwhile, the eligibility criteria for applicants include that they must be below 35 years of age as at the time of applying; they earn first degree in Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines with a CGPA of 3.5 and above (5.0 scale).
The required documents for application include Curriculum Vitae (CV), Birth Certificate/ Declaration of Age, Primary Certificate, Secondary Certificate, Bachelor Degree Certificate, NYSC Discharge Certificate/ Exemption Letter, LGA and State Indigene Certificate, Official Transcript, and Letter on Motivation.

After reviewing applications, qualified, candidates, will be contacted for further screening and evaluation.
