United Kingdom’s Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, was subjected to mockery following troll from Prime Minister Keir Starmer before the Parliament.

The moment, as captured in a now viral video shared on X on Thursday, saw Starmer accused Badenoch of making desperate search for relevance by electing herself a saviour of westernization.

It all started when the Conservative Party leader informed the Parliament of how she advised over the weekend Starmer to cut aid budget.

“Over the weekend, I suggested to the Prime Minister to cut the aid budget, and I’m pleased he accepted my advice.” Badenoch had said.

Reacting, Starmer said he never checked the opposition leader’s proposal as she never featured in his thinking.

“I’m gonna let the leader of the opposition down gently. She didn’t feature in my thinking at all. I was so busy at the weekend I didn’t even see her proposal.

“I think she has appointed herself as a saviour of the western civilization. It’s a desperate search for relevance.” Starmer said.

This has, however, sparked reactions from Nigerian netizens who trolled the Conservative Party leader.

Recall that Badenoch had been vocal in her criticism of Nigeria despite having her root in the West African country.

“The worst thing about British insults is how cutting they are while being politely delivered. This dude just told her “You should go back to Africa, you absolute nobody” in polite business English. I know that shit stung her like an asian giant hornet!😆😭” Journalist David Hundeyin wrote.

If not, why would she be denigrating her own country (though, she isn’t wrong about Nigeria) just to make a point about the need to protect the Uk 🇬🇧. When a foreigner becomes so involved in the affairs of a foreign land to the extent that he starts competing over ownership with the original owners of the land, a day will come when he will be reminded of his own origin and place.
