In spite of his denial of the presidential nomination forms obtained for him by a group of Fulani organisations, former President Goodluck Jonathan has met with the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Senator Abdulahi Adamu.
Jonathan had reportedly met with Adamu shortly after news went viral that some groups had bought forms for him to contest the 2023 presidential election.
NPO Reported earlier that Jonathan had, through a statement by media adviser Okechukwu Eze, disowned the group while describing the move as an insult to his person.
But a second, revised statement by Eze had toned down the statement.
Another close ally of Jonathan, Reno Omokri, had posted on his page that “Former President Jonathan has nothing to do with the reported purchase of some forms. He has an official spokesman and his own staff. He is a man of honour and will not do anything surreptitiously. The media and the public should be guided. “
