Barely two hours after announcing his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Kogi State lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
NPO earlier Reported that the ex-Kogi Senator had in a post on his X handle announced his exit from the PDP, citing the party’s lack of potency and capacity as reasons for his membership withdrawal.
Melaye had in the letter shared on his X handle on Thursday held that the PDP no longer has the capacity to deliver Nigeria.
While expressing his gratitude to the party for the opportunity given to him, the ex-lawmaker turned lawyer declared his withdrawal from all the party’s activities.
He would however a separate video announcing his defection to the ADC.
As captured in the video with the caption “SDM fully ADC”, Melaye was received by some chieftains of the opposition party.
He was the ADC’s membership card before being congratulated by the party chieftains.
