Popular Nigerian music prodcuer and CEO Marvins Record, Michael Collins Ajereh (Don Jazzy) has donated N100 million to social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan), for his newly established Non-Governmental Organization.
VeryDarkMan made the disclosure in a post on his Instagram handle, expressing his initial shock by the donation as Don Jazzy gave him no prior notice before making the donation.
The activist would later discover it was from the music producer who commended him in a text for his activities.
“Yesterday, I posted that I received N100 million in my account. I did not receive alert, I did not receive anything. I just saw that the money moved from N70 million to N170 milllion plus.
“I paniked because I didn’t expect anybody to just send me N100 million like that. So I felt it was glitch or that maybe they wanted to set me up.
“I started calling everybody that I know. They said they did not. I kept on wondering the money came to be, until I get this post;
‘morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send N100 million to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been.
‘We really need that in our country, I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.’ This is Don Jazzy.” VDM wrote.
Prior to Don Jazzy’s text, VeryDarkMan initially raised concerns in a video on his Instagram account, questioning the large deposit and requesting an investigation by Zenith Bank.
“@zenithbankplc please investigate my NGO account, I don’t know what is going on, hope im not being set up….I AM NOT INTO MONEY L^UNDERING I DO NOT DO FR^UD(FOR THE RECORD) Nigerians bare me witness I don’t know what’s up with the account,” he had posted.
Meanwhile, the NGO, according to VDM, would focus on community development and improving public schools.
