Says Aregbesola, Oyinlola Later Reconciled Despite Deaths of Many Supporters

A radio programme guest, Kolawole Azeez, has urged Osun people to avoid being killed because of politicians ahead of the forthcoming 2026 governorship election in the state.
Azeez made the plea while speaking on Oodua FM radio station on Wednesday.
Reacting to the recent clashes between supporters of the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Munirudeen Oyebamiji (Ambo), in Ede, the guest charged Osun residents to have avoid being caught in the middle of their clashes.
Azeez maintained that politicians are not worth dying for as both men would end up becoming friends just like former governors of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who later reconciled despite the death of many of their supporters.
“Don’t let them kill you. Adeleke and Ambo Munirudeen will later become friends. Aregbe and Oyinlola are following each other around now like siblings.
“Look at the number of lives that were lost and those injured when they were both contesting for the governorship.
“Don’t let them kill you because of Ambo. Don’t die for Adeleke. They are not worth dying for.” He said.
While acknowledging the need to participate in political activities, Azeez appealed to the residents to withdraw immediately chaos erupts.
“There some that are already cursed and destined to fight for politicians.
“It is the politicians that turned their lives into that so that they can be able to use them.
“But you that was raised in a responsible home, I didn’t say you should not do politics. But once it’s turning into drawing of weapons, leave there. Don’t let them kill you.
“Those who died yesterday, they are gone. Nobody is coming to save you.” He added.
