A group of Pro-Tinubu fitness enthusiasts have on Thursday clashed with supporters of the 2027 Nigeria Democratic Congress Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, during an Independence Day run organised in Delta State.
The event was organised by Soft Nigeria, a support group of President Bola Tinubu, in commemoration of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day anniversary.
Drama would however ensue during the event in Warri as another group of fitness enthusiast suspected to be Obi supporters crashed the event.
Videos shared on X showed the Obi supporters confronting the Pro-Tinubu racers who offered them a branded green t-shirt.
They however rejected the t-shirts with some setting them ablaze while chanting Obi’s name.
Meanwhile, no physical clash was recorded during the demonstration from both factions as no one was reported injured or attacked.
